The county road DJ552 climbs out of Bucovăț, south-west of Craiova, in a run of tight hairpin bends marked with red-and-white chevrons. From the top bends the whole city lies across the horizon, with the white oval of the stadium in the middle and the power-station chimneys on the left. There is no car park and no sign, just a dry grass verge above the guard rail.
Riding or driving there: the bends are narrow and the guard rail runs right up to the asphalt, so stop only where the verge is wide, never on a bend. The map pin is approximate, taken from a phone map on 7 October 2026.
