Platforms that work in Craiova

Estonian, and the ride-hailing app most people here use. Bolt works through licensed drivers and fleet partners; the Bolt app for passengers and the Bolt Driver app for drivers are separate. Its food arm runs in a third app, Bolt Food.

The delivery side of the same company, with its own courier app. Bolt says its Romanian installs grew more than two and a half times during 2025 and that Romania stays a focus market for 2026. A Craiova courier fleet describes it as the busiest of the three delivery apps in this city — that is their claim, not a measured figure.

Spanish, founded in Barcelona in 2015 and majority-owned by the German group Delivery Hero since 2022. Craiova is on Glovo’s own list of Romanian cities. Glovo says it passed 40 Romanian cities during 2025 and that Romania led south-east Europe for orders that year.

Finnish, owned by the American company DoorDash since 2022. Wolt bought Tazz from eMAG and relaunched the business under its own name in Romania in May 2025, replacing the Tazz app across some 35 cities. It arrived in Craiova later than the other two, so it is the newest of the three here.

Craiova is one of 39 Romanian cities where the Uber app works. Since 2020 Uber operates here as a regulated transport intermediary and works only with licensed drivers.

Uber’s parcel service launched in Romania and is available in every Romanian city where the app is active, which includes Craiova. It is not food delivery: it moves packages between addresses.

Tazz by eMAG used to be one of the main delivery apps in Romania, in more than 35 cities. Wolt bought it and the app has been wound into Wolt, so there is nothing left to sign up to.

Uber has announced that Uber Eats will return to Romania later in 2026. As at 23 September 2026 it is not running, so do not count on it when planning courier work.
